Third Creek Presbyterian Church in the town of Cleveland, North Carolina, extends an unqualified welcome, in Christ’s name, to all who seek to join us in worship.
We affirm that there can be no exclusiveness within the body of Christ, and therefore invite all children of God into our fold.
Third Creek Presbyterian Church was organized in 1751. We continue to worship in the beautiful sanctuary that was built in 1835 and is on the National Register of Historic Places.
Thank you for visiting us online. Please look around the site to learn more about our church, or come in for a visit. We want to greet you and share with you our love for Jesus Christ and for you, our neighbor.
... by following Christ's example through praising God and serving others in love, mercy and forgiveness.
Grow in Faith
... by a commitment to teaching God's word, hearing God's word, and applying God's word.
Serve in Christ's Name
... by using the gifts God has given us, we share the Gospel in our church and family, in our community, and in the world.
The earliest church grounds included a wood meeting house and the cemetery, both surrounded by a granite stone wall. The earliest verifiable grave is dated 1761, although we know there are unmarked pre-Revolutionary graves here.
All the known graves are documented on Ancestry.com's Find a Grave web site. Click Cemetery in the navigation menu on the left. On our Cemetery page is a link to the Third Creek Cemetery Find a Grave list.
We worship in the original 1835 sanctuary.
